Bio
What can you say about yourself in five hundred words or less that is even remotely adequate? I was born. I grew up, slowly, over time. I haven't died yet. I think (when I can't possibly avoid it any longer), I breathe, I dream, I feel. Music seems to have consumed a lot of my energies and passions. I don't see this changing in the near future.

I befriend stray kittens and I am a champion of the undeservedly obscure.

A lot of my posts are friends only, sorry.

Any specific questions you have, you can always just ask me.

I went to high school.
I played in a youth symphony and another orchestra locally.
Then I went to music school for three years, pusuing a viola performance degree.
I played in another youth symphony.
I developed a playing injury from over-use and went to a college locally instead to study composition and philosophy.
I dropped out and joined a rock band. (Actually I was a touring back-up musician for the artist, I didn't actually play on the album.)
Midnight Choir's album "Olsen's Lot" was one of the albums I actually played on.
In 1997, I contributed some string parts to my favorite band's third album.
I wrote the string parts and sang backup in a band that this website lists on their alumni page as dead, the Hush Hush.
I spent the next few years composing, writing, arranging, playing in bands, and teaching music.
Sadly, no link exists to the band I founded in 2000. But it was called Hourglass Lake. It didn't suck.
I was finally trying to finish my degree in Music so that I could teach middle school orchestra, but I got so bogged down in the bureaucracy that I just gave up and started gigging instead.
I secured a seat in the Yakima Symphony, and places on the sub list of Walla Walla Symphony and the Oregon East Symphony.

Now I am moving out of the sticks and going to go play in a symphony in a bigger town.
